Acquired by Whatcom Land Trust, Lily Point is Whatcom County's newest park. Explore the area with Whatcom County Parks employee David Bean. 2 miles round trip with 200 feet of elevation gain. Meet at Lighthouse marine Park entrance station.
Leader: Emily Schiller
Join us for a forest stroll and discover the diversity of native flowers and shrubs found in the Stimpson Family Reserve. Volunteers from Whatcom County Master Gardeners will lead the walk and help you learn to identify the local plants (and a few weeds) we encounter. We will take the Geneva Pond Loop trail and expect the walk to take approximately two hours. The event is free, but we ask you to register with us for a plant list and further information.
We are entrusted with an extraordinary natural heritage. Saltwater shorelines, forests, lakes, farms, mountains, and wildlife habitat are all part of a legacy that only we can preserve for future generations. The desire to share this heritage with our children and grandchildren unites all who treasure Whatcom County.
