About the event:
Located on the border between Whatcom and Skagit County, Squires Lake Park is 82 acres of beautiful forest surrounding Squires Lake. Acquired in 1995 with the help of Whatcom Land Trust, this park provides essential habitat for birds, beavers, and many more.
John D’Onofrio, Alan Sanders, and Rich Bowers are all distinguished photographers based in Whatcom County. They have offered to host this photography workshop on this Land Trust protected property for anyone hoping to learn about photography, improve their skills, or just spend a day out in nature capturing the beauty of this magnificent place!
No prior photography experience is necessary to participate. All camera types welcome (yes, even a smartphone!). Please be prepared for all weather conditions and bring a lunch or snack as there will be a break around noon.
Directions: From Bellingham, take I-5 South to exit 242 towards Nulle Road. Turn left on Nulle Rd which then becomes Old Hwy 99. Squires Lake Trail parking will be on your left. We will meet in the parking lot at 10am and return at 2pm.
