SUMMARY:Field Friday Trail work and Invasive Species Removal @ Todd Creek
DESCRIPTION:Join Whatcom Land Trust for a day of trail work and invasive species removal at Todd Creek. \nThis beautiful stretch of protected land along the South Fork of the Nooksack River offers a rewarding opportunity to support restoration and trail work for future generations. During this Field Friday\, volunteers will help improve access trails\, remove invasive species\, and support ongoing habitat restoration. This work is essential to maintaining healthy wetlands\, supporting native plant communities\, and improving conditions for wildlife that depend on this dynamic river system. We will have snacks and tools available. We hope to see you out on the land! \n  \nRegistration is REQUIRED for this event: Sign up here! \nOnce you register\, additional details will be sent by our Volunteer Coordinator\, Lauren Ralbovsky\, 4 to 7 days before the event. This forested wetland supports a diverse mix of native species\, including red alder\, salmonberry\, sword fern\, western red cedar\, Sitka spruce\, and black cottonwood. Located near the 5 Cedars community and adjacent to Nooksack Indian Tribe lands\, this area plays an important role in supporting wildlife habitat and the health of the surrounding watershed.
