Help us close off unauthorized trails that have caused damage to coastal forest habitat by moving logs and planting native species. There will also be plenty of opportunities to remove invasive ivy and pick up litter!  \nWhat to expect: Moving logs\, walking on uneven ground\, digging\, planting \nDirections: Take Chuckanut Drive south from Bellingham. Park at North Chuckanut \nMountain trailhead and enjoy a 0.7 mile bike ride or walk down the Interurban trail to Teddy Bear Cove trailhead. DESCRIPTION:Help recover Chinook salmon populations – A key food source for endangered South Resident Orcas – by planting trees along California Creek! Celebrate Orca Recovery Day with Whatcom Land Trust\, the Whatcom Conservation District\, and Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association. Since 2018\, when the orca Tahlequah brought attention to the plight of these whales by carrying her deceased calf for over 1\,000 miles\, volunteers have worked to restore salmon habitats.
