Stewardship Associate – Work Study Position
Students in the Stewardship Associate position will gain a broad understanding of non-profits and land
trusts along with their conservation efforts and principles, natural history of Whatcom County,
ecological processes and restoration methods, how to operate and maintain power equipment and
other tools, plant and wildlife identification, an introduction to real property. Students will receive the
opportunity to work with a variety of volunteers of various backgrounds, further diversifying their
experience and exposure to all of Whatcom County.
Students must be currently enrolled at either WWU or WCC and eligible for the Work Study Program through financial aid.
