Amanda McKay, Community Engagement Manager
Amanda attended Western Washington University for a B.A. in Environmental Policy and interned with the Land Trust during her junior year. After graduating from WWU in 2018, Amanda accepted the position of Communications and Development Specialist at Whatcom Land Trust and during that time worked to revamp the monthly newsletter as well as expanding cause-related marketing. In 2019, Amanda moved back to her hometown of Portland, OR to gain her Masters of Studies in Environmental Law (MSL) degree from Lewis and Clark Law School. Her love of Bellingham and the Land Trust pulled her back to Bellingham in late 2020 when she became the new Community Engagement Manager for Whatcom Land Trust. In her free time Amanda enjoys coaching lacrosse, mountain biking, skiing, and hiking with her partner Matt and pup Kuma.
