Join us for a full day of stewardship at North Fork Eagle, located along the North Fork of the Nooksack River near Welcome. We’ll be clearing a trail and removing invasive Himalayan blackberry to help restore the floodplain habitat. This protected land sits at a vital point in the river where chum salmon return each year to spawn and die, attracting large numbers of bald eagles that feed on the fish and roost in the surrounding forest. Come lend a hand, explore the land, and help care for a place we all love.
What to Expect: Walking on uneven ground, restoration work.
How to Get There: We will meet at the Whatcom Land Trust Office at 8 am and carpool from there.
RSVP: Registration is REQUIRED for this event. Sign up here!
