Holly and Ivy Removal @ Governors Point

March 7 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Governors Point is one of our newest and most unique conservation successes, protecting critical shoreline along the stunning Chuckanut Mountains. While this property will eventually be owned by Whatcom County Parks, Whatcom Land Trust will hold a Conservation Easement to ensure its long-term protection. Though it won’t be officially open to the public for a few more years, we’re currently working to restore its ecosystem to a healthier state. This Field Friday, we’ll focus on removing invasive holly scattered throughout the property and clearing English ivy from trees. We’ll explore sections of the trail while tackling this important work. Join us for a rewarding day of conservation along this breathtaking shoreline!

What to Expect: walking along a trail, pulling invasive species, cutting plants.

RSVP: Registration is REQUIRED for this event. Sign up here!
