Planting Native Trees and Shrubs at Lower Kenney Creek

Join Whatcom Land Trust and Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association to enhance critical salmon habitat where Kenney Creek (a recently protected Land Trust property) meets the North Fork of the Nooksack River. Volunteers will plant native trees and shrubs to improve habitat along the creek, ensuring a diverse and healthy environment for returning fish. Help us restore this vital ecosystem and contribute to the long-term health of Kenney Creek and the wildlife it supports!
What to expect: Walking on uneven ground, digging using a shovel, making blue tubes
