Orca Recovery Day

October 18 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Orca Recovery Day is a regional day of action that aims to improve conditions for the critically endangered Southern Resident Orca Whales. To support the recovery of our local orca pods, we can all contribute to the restoration of habitat for their food source, the Chinook Salmon. Join the Land Trust, Whatcom Conservation District, and Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association in planting native trees and shrubs at a new location on California Creek, which complements the plantings from previous years. Coffee and snacks will be provided, along with all the tools you’ll need!

What to Expect: Digging holes, planting, and walking on uneven ground.

How to Get There: Parking is at Blaine Middle School, 975 H St, Blaine, WA 98230
