Scavenger Hunt for Whatcom Water Week @ Stimpson Family Nature Reserve
Scavenger Hunt for Whatcom Water Week at Stimpson Family Nature Reserve
As part of Whatcom Water Week, join Whatcom Land Trust for a self-guided scavenger hunt at Stimpson Family Nature Reserve and discover how forests help keep our water clean, cool, and flowing. Pick up a family-friendly activity booklet at the trailhead, then explore the trail as you search for mossy logs, trickling streams, and other natural features that help forests filter and store water.
How the Scavenger Hunt Works
Pick up a free activity booklet at the trailhead, then set out to explore the trail at your own pace. Along the way, search for mossy logs, trickling streams, and other natural features that help forests filter and store water. Each clue connects a piece of the landscape to the larger story of how healthy forests protect clean water for our whole watershed. Kids can draw, check off clues, and earn a Water Wise take-home memento once they’ve completed the hunt, plus snap a photo at our fun forest-themed face-in-hole board!
