Join us for a fun day preparing the Rutsatz Salmon Reserve to thrive through the wet winter. We’ll be planting native trees and shrubs to restore habitat and removing invasive blackberry that has started to overtake earlier plantings. This stunning protected land lies between the North Fork Nooksack River and the Rutsatz Road and has an awe-inspiring floodplain, young forest, and active hay field. It is home to annual salmon runs, bald eagles, and the occasional elk herd. Come lend a hand and help us give these young plants their best chance at survival!
